Things Required For Galas
Costume or Trunks (plus a spare)
Goggles (plus a spare)
2 Towels - 1 for poolside and 1 to dry off at the end
T-Bag or T-shirt to wear on poolside when not swimming to keep you warm
Drinks - Fruit squash or commercial drinks Lucozade sport but not fizzy drinks
If it is a team gala here are some food examples required to help keep energy levels up, for example
- Banana's
- Jelly Cubes
- Small bar of chocolate or cereal bars
- Popcorn or Snacks Jacks
For all day gala/meets it's carbohydrate foods required the night before e.g.
- Pasta meal (spaghetti bolognese)
- Pizza
- Mashed potatoes with meat or fish, vegetables or beans
On The Day
Breakfast e.g.
Cereal or Toast
Lunch e.g.
Sandwiches or Pasta (salad)
Snacks and plenty of drinks
